West Asheville includes the neighborhoods of Camelot, Wilshire Park, Candler, Bear Creek, Deaverview Park, Emma, Canton, Hi-Alta Park, Lucerne Park, Malvern Hills, Sulphur Springs, Haywood Road, and Pisgah View. Asheville's funky vibe translates into a varied mix of businesses here. Another one of those "happening places" you will find outside of downtown Asheville. There are many unique boutiques for shopping and cafés lining Haywood Avenue you'll want to experience. Haywood County provides a hub of activity in the midst of a neighborhood renaissance. In the 1930's the county had a population of 12,000 and a trolley line for residents to commute to and from their homes and throughout the town, keeping some history around keeps this town cute, quaint, and full of culture.
